hi just got on board,need some help ;already; sorry, but my 90 hp tahatsu motor, all of a sudden wont rev over 2900 rpms, just bought ths used boat and have it at marina where i bought it, he is checking it out. ive read where. if motor wont rev over 2900 rpms it needs to be rebuilt, is this correct. thanks everybody, gary:poke:

Did you get any explanation as to why the rebuld is necessary?

Do you have low compression on one cylinder or multi-cylinders?

no ,im having the guy at marina check it out. iwill let you know,i just wanted a heads up.

It could be a dirty carb, an ignition issue, bad gas or a whole bunch of other things too.

-Chris thinking back it was after i got gas the motor started to act up, so i will check yhat out. thanks
