does any one know wat the ring gap is suppost to be on a 1983 200 merc black max?

The standard acceptable end gap is 0.005 " per inch of bore. To determine the exact of end gap, simply multiply the cylinder bore by 0.005"

Example: Bore = 3.00" times 0.005" equals an acceptable end gap of 0.015"
