Welcome. I'm sure you'll get some great help when the experts dock their boats. When the weather is great they are on the lake. Hang in there. ;)

Try these two links. The first is a site for vintage outboard part, the second for parts and maybe manuals, and the third is a place that says they have tons of old manuals(parts too). The third is a little hard to navigate but stick with it, after you figure it out it's a pretty good site. Hopefully this will help you some.

I have come across a lot of good links in my quest to find manuals and arts to fit my boat. That third link seems to be a pretty resourceful place. They claim to have some old rare manuals that are out of print that they can make copies of for people. The site just isn't laid out the best.

The one I have covers the years 65 and up.

It does have throttle info in it. I'm not sure if yours would carry over and be the same or not.

Mine has about eight pages on the various control boxes. :)

There are some picture posting instructions pinned to the top of the Board Feedback forum.

There are two sets, one for supporting members of the site and one for non-supporters. You need to follow the non-supporting "hotlink" set.

As far as the controller goes, yeah, the manual I have seems to have a set which looks like yours. Not sure if it's exactly the same, but it looks it.

Let me know what you need to know and I'll see if I can help. :)

The manual I have lists a number of different sets of instructions, depending on what type of cables you have. They list a few different cables with different model numbers.

The small leaver you describe I would assume is the neutral throttle leaver. That leaver is for adjusting the idle speed when the motor is in neutral.

could the differance in cables be the ends?
