Greeting- I picked up a Clyde Boat I am told is either late 40's or early 50's. I am trying to find some imformation, pictures, etc. on this boat. I want to restore it too as orginal as possible. The boat has been painted and stained so often I can't tell what it is suppose to look like. Boat was made in Detroit Michigan. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Welcome aboard. :)
We actually got a few Cyde owners on the board.
Did you check out some of the pics they posted in the Clyde section?

I will try to put together some photo's of the boat- it's about 15 ft. long with a hull. The boards run diaginally and appear to be mahagony. I have pretty much stripped the boat to the bare wood. During the stripping process I found that the boat had been painted several times by previous owners. The bottom half below the bump guard may have been painted what appears to be a gold color. not for sure.
