How about a good dealership post ??

What if we start a GOOD DEALERSHIP POST for the folks that might be looking, -OR- traveling across the country, that might need repairs, parts, or whatever.

NOT intended to be a BASHING POST for bad dealerships. Just a helpful post. It works on a Mustang site that I got to. (I started the post). TO help folks know first hand who WE as BOAT OWNERS have used, and trust.

I am NOT posting any names now, as I want to make sure it's O.K. with the board here.

Just an idea. :thumb:

Sounds like a great idea, as long as it doesn't turn into a thread full of the posts by people simply attempting to promote themselves. ;)

I personally have had great experiences over the years, dealing with Sal and Joe at Dryland Marine in Oak Ridges Ontario. :)

I like this - this is a great thread:

Port Sandfield Marina - Muskoka - it'll cost an arm and a leg - but it will be repaired the first time perfectly.

Indianhead Harbour - Muskoka - Two top notch mechanics on staff - one expert in 2 stroke, the other an expert in both 2 and 4 stroke engines and very reasonably priced.

Hamer Bay Marine - Muskoka - very knowledgable OMC Guys

Port Perry Marina - Port Perry - very knowledgable OMC Guys

I'll have to think of some other ones.

No, Sorry I did not see it because I really do not go up into that area all that much Even though there is a lot of good info in that area, But I did go find it after seeing your post here. Hard to believe it only has 30 views on it and no responses at all, But then again that site is kind of different in there own way, They seem too be a little over managed there and because they sell there own stuff with there store they have I would not be shocked if they locked your thread in some way [IMHO] if they think they are loosing out some place. You should add one over there and see if it takes off.:sssh::D It might just be me but they seem to watch me over there some times:poke: But if you add one I will put some over there also;):). I do know of a few more good marine service shops to post up in this good idea of a thread out in lake havasu AZ also That I will post up soon if it is ok.:)

I only did that to possible "help" some one that was looking for a respectable dealer that wouldn't jack a customer around, either on service, or a sale. AND, I know that alot of people trailer their boats all over the country, AND alot of people have laptops with them everywhere they go.

Yeah, some of those over there are [IMHO] "holier than Thou". SO, if people don't want to respond to a "help" post that is their problem !!!!! Sometimes I think that there are "TOO MANY EGO's" over there for their own good.

I'd like to see this board have the "markers", for your status like they have over there, just for grins !!!!!!! :thumb:

I will openly admit that I do NOT know everything about a boat, but, given the opportunity, I like to learn. Boating is one thing that has ALWAYS facinated me, since I was about "4" years old !!!!!

So, "if" everyone here can bear with me, I will "try" to "learn" all that I can !!!!!!! :sssh:

Post anything that you like !! That was my "idea" with this post !!!!!!!!
