Prop paint

What kind of paint lasts on a prop? I tried some Mercury paint that I had bought, and it did NOT work.

I've used the Merc prop paint on my small outboards with decent success.

On my bigger motors I usually have Aluminum props on them.

Stainless steel for me.

You may try powder coating. But, It gets expensive if you need to keep re-doing it. The alternative is to pick up an old oven at the junkyard and DIY!

powder coating is the only way...but, as Shawn said... it wont last. any sediment at all, it comes off after awhile.



stainless steel for me too.

I have the stock prop that came with mine...it's black. I just "97 cent walmart rattlecan" it black really quick it if Ill be towing the boat to a crowded place... just for aesthetics. :) Doesn't last one trip.

ill stick with the SS.
