Default Trim Gauge 115 Evinrude SPL

I have a 1998 Evinrude 115 SPL E115TSLECM. It only has 85 hours on it, and runs excellent.

My issue is the trim guage stopped working, the indicator needle no longer moves as the motor is trimmed out.

I have tried repaceing the guage, and the new gauge does the same thing.

This leads me to believe that it is a problem with either the wiring or with a sensor of some sort.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue, and can anyone tell me where the sensor would be located?

Thanks!
